Neymar's arrival forced PSG to put these eight players up for sale

French giants PSG were reportedly threatened with a Champions League ban by UEFA following the summer signings of Neymar and Kylian Mbappe.
Neymar joined the club in a record breaking €222m deal after the Parisiens triggered his release clause at Barcelona.
The 25-year-old Brazilian has started his spell at PSG in superb form but has become embroiled in a feud with Edinson Cavani.

The South American attacking duo were seen fighting over set-pieces during last week's 2-0 win over Lyon and it has since been reported that Cavani rejected a €1m offer from the PSG president to cede penalty-kick duties to Neymar.
Neymar missed out on Saturday's 0-0 draw with Montpellier through injury and will face a late fitness test ahead of Wednesday nigh's Champions League clash against Bayern Munich.

Spanish newspaper El Pais claim that PSG were forced to transfer list eight players after a threat made by UEFA.
Following pressure from Bayern Munich, Juventus and Real Madrid, UEFA reportedly threatened to ban PSG from European competition for "several years" unless they work harder to comply with Financial Fair Play [FFP] regulations.

According to El Pais, within 48 hours of UEFA's threat, eight PSG first team players had been transfer listed by the club.
Angel Di Maria, Javier Pastore, Blaise Matuidi, Lucas Moura, Julian Draxler, Hatem Ben Arfa, Serge Aurier and Thiago Silva were the eight players made available.
However, only Aurier and Matuidi completed moves away for a combined fee of only £41m - barely a dent on the world record transfer PSG paid for Neymar.

Aurier signed for Spurs on Transfer Deadline Day for £23m whilst Matuidi - who was reportedly hurt by being transfer listed - joined Juventus in a cut-price £18m deal.
The president of La Liga, Javier Tebas, this summer accused Paris Saint-Germain of “laughing” at UEFA's FFP rules.
“We’ve caught [PSG] peeing in the swimming pool," said Tebas. "And Neymar is peeing off the diving board.

"It is not just about PSG but also Manchester City. I need more money from TV, otherwise Manchester City with its oil will take all these players."
Needing to comply with FFP regulations, the fire sale at PSG is likely to continue in the January transfer window.
Expect some household names to be available at a cut-price as the Qatari owned club attempt to balance the books.
