The player Spurs are readying a bid for this summer is seriously ambitious

Mauricio Pochettino has done a quite extraordinary job at Tottenham.
When the Argentine took over in 2014, the north London club were crying out for some managerial stability; having had 10 managers in the past 12 years.
And he has offered just that, and more.

Pochettino has transformed his side into Champions League perennials in the last few years, and his side is on course for a top four finish this season for the third consecutive season.
However, it is clear that they need to improve further if they are to make the next step and win the Premier League title, and if reports are to be believed they could well do that in the summer.

TOTTENHAM READY TO SHOW AMBITION

Pochettino boosted his attacking options by signing Lucas Moura in January, but it seems he wants to add another huge name to propel his side to the next level.

According to the Mirror, Spurs are readying an extremely ambitious bid for Borussia Dortmund winger, Marco Reus.

The German has been plagued with injury problems in the past few years, but there is no denying he is one of the best in the world when on the pitch.
The 28-year-old only has a year left on his contract with Der BVB, but is stalling on signing a new contract until Dortmund give him assurances about their ambitions in the transfer market.

Unfortunately for Spurs, Liverpool are also said to be long term admires of the German, with Reds boss Jurgen Klopp also keen on reuniting with his former player.

But if Pochettino is able to pull off a deal for Reus, with a front four of Reus, Alli, Eriksen and Kane; Tottenham will certainly be title challengers next year.

BUT THERE MAY BE OUTGOINGS

The signing of Reus could spark a title run next year, but Tottenham will also have to keep hold of some star players in order to make a serious challenge.
Toby Alderweireld is one Spurs name who may be out of the door, and according to the Mirror he may be followed out of the door by Victor Wanyama.
The Kenyan has two years left on his contract, but wants a significant pay rise as he looks to extend his stay at the club.

It is believed he wants to sign a new deal with the club, but with Manchester United and Liverpool reportedly circling, his future may be away from north London.
