Terrified by the information, the wife alerted police, different members of the family and mates to assist in rescuing her husband. It was then gathered that the household rallied round and started sourcing for the ransom that was requested by the ‘kidnappers’.
The amount of cash requested for was finally raised and instantly wired into the phone of the kidnapper by way of mobile money transfer.
In the meantime, as the family did what they could to save the relative in trouble, investigators carried on their work by making attempts to trace the location and movements of the mobile device that was used in receiving the ransom paid by the family
The detectives stated they have been able to trace him to a place referred to as Butebere village in Hoima District.
